About The Position
Big Fish is a new seafood and American restaurant opening at Broadway at the Beach. We offer great food, a relaxed atmosphere, live music, and sports on every screen. We cater to families early in the evening and locals later on. We are building our opening team and seeking servers who are looking for a strong section, excellent tips, and a fun work environment.
Requirements
- 1+ year of serving experience in a full-service restaurant (high-volume experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of seafood and American cuisine, or a strong desire to learn quickly.
- Enjoyment of customer service and taking care of people.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods, such as a Saturday night rush.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Must be 18+ to serve alcohol in South Carolina.
- Ability to stand and carry trays for an 8-hour shift.

- Experience in high-volume serving.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assess their dining needs (quick bite or long meal).
- Confidently sell the menu, including daily catch, oysters, bar offerings, and chef's specials.
- Accurately take orders and manage timing effectively, communicating clearly with the kitchen and bar.
- Check back with guests regularly and proactively resolve any issues.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring correct checkout at the end of each shift.
- Complete side work, station setup, and assist with shift changes.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and ready section throughout the shift.
