About The Position

Join our dynamic Emergency Room team as we provide high-quality emergency care to our patients. This position requires a dedicated professional ready to handle a variety of critical situations in a fast-paced environment. The Emergency Room unit has 28 beds, including 4 fast track and 2 trauma bays, with a patient ratio of 1 Nurse to 4 Patients. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7, and utilizing a Cerner electronic medical record system for patient documentation. Candidates may be required to take trauma patients based on their experience and must demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and improving team dynamics.

Requirements

  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
  • Valid nursing license.
  • Commitment to teamwork and improving team dynamics is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years in an Emergency Room setting preferred, with a focus on high-volume and high-acuity cases.
  • TNCC certification preferred.
  • BSN is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage patients effectively in a high-volume, high-acuity environment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7.
  • Utilize a Cerner electronic medical record system for patient documentation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and physician orders.
  • Provide emergency interventions and manage trauma care as necessary.
