About The Position

This role involves developing tailored respiratory care plans by assessing each patient's specific diagnosis and clinical needs to ensure they receive the exact type and frequency of treatment required for recovery. The Respiratory Therapist will deliver and monitor advanced respiratory therapies, keeping a watchful eye on patient conditions and equipment to guarantee high-quality, continuous care. They will also champion patient and family education by clearly explaining health conditions and connecting families with community support groups, empowering them to confidently manage their care journey. Additionally, the role requires evaluating and evolving treatment strategies based on real-time patient outcomes, adjusting medications and modalities to maximize healing and comfort, and providing decisive, life-saving intervention by responding rapidly to emergency resuscitation codes as a trusted member of the critical care team.

Requirements

  • BBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
