About The Position
Bishop Gadsden, a premier continuing care retirement community, is seeking a skilled Painter to support the upkeep and appearance of our beautiful campus. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a community-focused environment.
Requirements
- Professional painting experience required
- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (standing, climbing, bending, etc.)
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior painting with a high standard of quality and efficiency
- Prepare surfaces through repair, removal, and finishing techniques
- Maintain painting supplies and meet project schedules
- Follow all safety, PPE, and HazMat procedures
- Communicate progress and completion of work with supervisors
- Apply various finishes and sheens correctly
- Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed
- Safely trap and neutralize wildlife when required
