About The Position
Visionworks Doctors of Optometry is seeking an experienced and state-licensed Optometrist to lead and coach quality of care and the patient experience in their new market in California. The ideal candidate is an experienced Doctor of Optometry who believes in the power of eyecare within the healthcare system, is tech-savvy, and people-focused. This role is located in Sacramento, CA, opening in September 2023. The position offers the benefits of being a Doctor without the hassle of running a business, as Visionworks handles insurance billing, credentialing, staff hiring & training, and administrative work. The practices provide comprehensive eye care, including routine exams, contact lens evaluations, and medical treatment for eye diseases, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. OD techs will assist with patient work-ups and contact lens teaching. Visionworks is a leading national eye care company that supports its doctors in managing a successful practice while focusing on patient care.

Responsibilities
- Practice full-time (or part-time) providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and visual and medical conditions.
- Perform patient examinations.
- Recommend vision-enhancing solutions based on prescription findings.
- Handle eye emergencies.
- Collaborate with staff members to help deliver the commitment to improving access to healthcare.
