About The Position

Join our team to make a difference to British Columbians after brain injury and stroke! We’re looking for an awesome person to join our team as Communication Coach - CONNECT. You will have the important job of representing CONNECT and building strong community relationships as a good neighbor, partner and friend, so we walk this important journey together. GREAT PEOPLE, OUTSTANDING SERVICES: To help people redesign their lives after brain injury or stroke we need great people who share our values, breathe our culture, believe in our mission and vision, and feel a sense of purpose in their work as they contribute to making lives better. They value open, honest communication, are willing to support, encourage and challenge themselves and others to be better, and they have a desire to learn and grow to be the best they can be for the people we serve. As Nutrition Coach you will support the diet and nutrition needs of the people we support as they work towards their goals and plans for life redesign. Always coming from a place of ‘eating as a pleasurable experience’ you will meet with individuals soon after they move in and periodically throughout their stay with us to determine their diet and nutrition needs and goals, and to guide and inform service delivery. CONNECT homes are staffed by Life Redesign Coaches. On hand 24/7 they are people with diverse backgrounds whose collective strengths offer a rich resource to the people we support. You must be comfortable working with and through them, and willing to coach, mentor, or teach when a need arises.
