About The Position

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure, with the ability to become licensed in another state.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Strong clinical background, including the ability to distinguish standard from urgent responses and quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent customer service and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and be resourceful.
• Proactive problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, smartphones, and tablets.
• Ability to perform one-person CPR continuously according to American Heart Association or Red Cross standards.
• Ability to travel by car, train, or plane; stand, sit, walk, see, and hear; regularly use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• ICU, ER, OR, and/or home care experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Perform all elements of the nursing process for each patient, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assist with telephonic and supportive nursing needs of the department.
• Serve as a resource for referral sources, patients, and the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with the prescribing provider, patient, and caregivers; ensure orders are received and are appropriate and actionable.
• Provide patient care for implanted drug delivery devices, including assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, and dose adjustments.
• Follow ANA and applicable State Board of Nursing standards and complete the assigned training program upon hire.
• Promote integrative care techniques to support symptom management and improve quality of life.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with state, HIPAA, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Educate patients and caregivers on healthy lifestyles and informed decision-making, tailoring education to their healthcare literacy.
• Complete other assigned job duties and special projects.
