Responsibilities

• Greets patients, rooms patient, takes vitals and documents pertinent information about reason for the visit. Collects information to ensure quality measures are met and performs a medication reconciliation at every visit.
• Communicates with patients in person and over the phone to ensure that their requests are recorded and transferred to the appropriate clinic staff, billing staff or administrative staff to handle.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Assists the providers in all aspects of the consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Provides immunizations, injections, testing and treatments as ordered by providers.
• Ensures all samples obtained for testing are labeled appropriately for sending out to the laboratory.
• Collaborates with other clinic staff, clinic coordinator and Director on process improvements and policy changes.
• Attends monthly meetings and takes an active role to ensure our patients get the best care.
• Familiarizes self with Rural Health Manual and follows policies and procedures of IMH.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Other duties as assigned.
