About The Position

As a member of the ramp team, you will assist passengers and their property to arrive safely at their destinations. This role involves working within a team to load and unload luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. You will also be responsible for driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. The position requires the ability to perform simple mathematical functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) to interpret various aircraft-related documents such as weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags. You and your team must maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures. Employees are cross-trained and may be expected to work in other operational areas. While previous experience is beneficial, it is not required, as classroom and on-the-job training are provided.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)
  • Ability to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Mandatory availability on weekends
