About The Position
Marmon Aerospace & Defense LLC, a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a reliable, safety-minded, and hard-working 3rd Shift Machine Operator. This role is crucial for supporting the defense industry by offering a full range of connectivity products and services. The company operates from a 100,000 square foot facility in Manchester, New Hampshire, equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and staffed by skilled engineering and manufacturing teams. Requirements
- 1+ years of machine operating experience
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Previous manufacturing environment required
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication and comprehension.
- Ability to Commute: Manchester, NH 03103 (Required)
- Work Location: In person
Nice To Haves
- Previous extrusion or wire and cable experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Maintain activity logs
