Requirements

• Current license in PA or a temporary work permit.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Knowledge of medical asepsis.
• Knowledge of body mechanics.
• Knowledge of personal care of residents.
• Knowledge of correct use and care of equipment.
• Knowledge of observation techniques.
• Knowledge of reporting and recording.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and its application.
• Willingness to possess knowledge of and comply with regulations, policies, procedures, contracts and philosophy of the institution.
• Ability to maintain a courteous and professional manner toward residents, visitors and co-workers.
• Dedication to meet the needs of the elderly.
• Awareness of cost containment.
• Ability to utilize time fully.

Responsibilities
