About The Position
This position provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN directs and assists ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and works with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel. The role requires professional accountability and collaboration to provide high-quality, personalized patient care. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; self-directed and demonstrates good judgment.
- Good interpersonal and delegation skills.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- IV therapy credentials.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
- Provide care based on patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related needs, appropriate to the ages served.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, family members, and coworkers to support a quality patient experience.
- Adapt positively to changing needs in the unit or department.
- Manage professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Remain knowledgeable about applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance.
- Promptly report known or suspected unethical or questionable conduct and concerns related to patient or employee safety, privacy, or compliance.
