About The Position

This position provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN directs and assists ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and works with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; self-directed and demonstrates good judgment.
• Good interpersonal and delegation skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• IV therapy credentials.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
• Provide care based on patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related needs, appropriate to the ages served.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, family members, and coworkers to support a quality patient experience.
• Adapt positively to changing needs in the unit or department.
• Manage professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Remain knowledgeable about applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance.
• Promptly report known or suspected unethical or questionable conduct and concerns related to patient or employee safety, privacy, or compliance.
