About The Position

The Analyst on Fidelity Investments’ Equity Investment Services (EQIS) team partners with the Equity Leadership Team, EQIS colleagues, and cross-functional partners to develop analytics and insights that support management decision-making across the Equity organization. The role uses digital and programming skills, including Python and SQL, to conduct analyses, generate reports, develop scalable solutions, and respond to senior management requests. It is part of the Asset Management Compliance, Risk and Business Operations team and is aligned with the priorities of the Equity organization. The successful candidate applies analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills to deliver data-driven insights. They demonstrate knowledge of equity markets, investment management, securities, data, and workflows; use technology to address complex business challenges; exercise sound judgment amid uncertainty or shifting priorities; and communicate trusted information and insights to all levels of management. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Fidelity is transitioning toward a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout; onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve. The base salary range is $80,000–$153,000 per year, with placement depending on responsibilities and scope, location, relevant experience, and other factors. Eligible compensation may also include bonus or other variable compensation. The application window closes when the position is filled or unposted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2–4 years of work experience in or working with investment operations in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience using Python and SQL to deliver actionable data insights, streamline workflows, and automate tasks.
  • Experience using AI productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Gemini, to improve workflow efficiency, automate routine tasks, and enhance research, analysis, and content creation.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data into concise, decision-ready insights.
  • Highly organized, meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent judgment, issue management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable taking initiative, and able to meet deadlines independently.
  • Positive attitude and a “can do” work ethic.
  • Knowledge of equity markets, investment management, securities, data, and workflows.
  • Effective communication with all levels of management, providing trusted information and insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving when faced with uncertainty or shifting priorities.

  • Experience working with Linux, Shell Scripts, or GitHub.

Responsibilities

  • Build analytics and insights in support of Equity’s strategic initiatives and business priorities.
  • Develop and implement reporting and analytics workflows, including AI-enabled solutions, to support and scale across the Equity platform.
  • Develop and deliver periodic and ad-hoc analytics and insights that enable management’s data-driven decision-making.
  • Support management adoption of trusted data and analytics, including self-service capabilities alongside standard reports.
  • Partner with Equity, QRI, Investment Services, Technology, and other business teams to define requirements and deliver on Equity initiatives.
