About The Position
Superior Industrial Fire Services, Inc. is hiring Industrial Firefighters to work at the BMW Plant in Greer or Woodruff, South Carolina. The position is for someone with a passion for firefighting and a demonstrated commitment to a positive, collaborative work environment. The base annual starting rate is $47,989, with additional overtime available. Superior Industrial Fire at BMW Fire Department exists to provide a high level of safety to associates and visitors within Plant 10 and Woodruff. The team works to protect life and property and support BMW operations, delivering service through teamwork, innovation, and adaptability. Under direct supervision, the Firefighter trains for and participates in duties related to controlling and extinguishing fires, rescuing people endangered by structural fires, and responding to and assisting with medical aid calls, vehicle accidents, and hazardous materials incidents. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to the company’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; a Class E endorsement is preferred.
- Current NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification with Hazardous Materials-Operations, issued by the State, IFSAC, or Pro-Board.
- Completion of NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 at the time of hire.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
