About The Position

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
• Must be 19 years of age or older to serve alcohol.

Nice To Haves

• High School education or GED preferred, but not required.
• A minimum of one to three years’ experience as a Host/Hostess in a restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Courteously and professionally seats all residents and their guests in the dining room.
• Is knowledgeable of menu and offerings.
• Assists servers with servicing, bussing, and cleaning tables.
• Assists with training and assures that proper services is given to residents and guests.
• Alerts Supervisor of any concerns or problems pertaining to residents and their guests.
• Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smoothly run department.
• Follows all outlined policies and procedures for the dining services department.
• Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Serves all residents and their guests cocktails, wines, and drinks in the dining room and bar.
• Maintains inventory of all bar supplies.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
• Secures all liquor inventory and supplies.
• Completes order guides to ensure par levels are sufficient and submits to the Dining Room Supervisor requests for orders.
