About The Position
The primary responsibility of the host/ hostess is to welcome, seat the Guest and leave them with a great first impression of the restaurant, along with proper collection of cash and charges for all retail, maintaining a clean area, and giving exceptional service to all guests.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal and time management skills
- Guest relation skills
- Adaptability
- Sound Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Entry level to 2 years of experienced desired.

Responsibilities
- Greeting the guests with a smile and friendly hello
- Seating the guest
- Guest Recognition
- Guest Service
- Monitoring entry area and restrooms for cleanliness
- Properly operating the telephone
- Accurately gauging wait list times with assistance from the MOD and informing the guest
- Saying goodbye and thank you to all guests
- Opening side work
- Closing side work
- Taking To Go and Room Service orders and coordinating proper delivery
- Thorough knowledge of all coupons, promotions, and special events in restaurant
- Thorough knowledge of all food items including daily specials
- Assisting other departments when necessary
- Answering the phone in a timely manner
- Providing directions to guests
- Keeping the gift shop clean and orderly
- Stocking the gift shop properly
- Assisting co-workers as needed
