About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support daily production activities. It involves performing routine inspections and basic maintenance to keep equipment running reliably, following all safety procedures and operational guidelines, and communicating effectively with team members to coordinate work activities. Maintaining awareness of surroundings is crucial to ensure a safe and productive worksite.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial setting
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards
- Ability to learn and follow operating procedures and safety requirements
- Dependable team member with clear communication skills
- Capability to adapt to changing work demands and conditions
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
