About The Position

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Translation into English.
• Experience or capability in collection from published, online, and broadcast media.
• Ability to monitor published, online, and broadcast media and identify relevant content.
• Ability to select relevant material.
• Ability to summarize or gist material while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise.
• Translation-related services capability.
• Report-writing capability.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree desired.
• Quality control of language products.
• Writing analysis.
• Subject matter expertise in Counterproliferation, Counterterrorism, Cyber, Military, Science and Technology, or Social Media areas of focus.

Responsibilities

• Collect Science and Technology publication articles and patent applications, including full source-language text, in response to government guidance.
• Conduct supplementary research using foreign-language sources on identified equipment and technologies.
• Translate selected technical documents upon request.
• Provide translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services in support of a government agency and the office.
• Collect, monitor, and select relevant content from published, online, and broadcast media.
• Translate into English, summarize or gist material using linguistic or cultural expertise, and write reports.
