About The Position

The Summit Club, located near Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Dishwasher to join the Food & Beverage Culinary Department. The Dishwasher is responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, washing dishes, chinaware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen vessels. This role also involves sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment, and maintaining the kitchen, dishwashing, and back areas in an inspection-ready condition according to local authority and club guidelines. The Dishwasher will contribute to creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and employees.

Requirements

  • Three (3) months prior experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes and kitchen work areas, sweeping kitchen work areas, and removing trash.
  • Provide clean cooking utensils for the F&B operations and ensure that all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areas.
  • Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals, and chemical concentration logs.
  • Daily set ups of china, glassware, and silverware items for all outlets.
  • Participate as a team player with other key team members.
  • Attends department briefings as necessary to communicate necessary.
  • Completion of all opening/closing procedures as instructed.
  • Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals.
  • Monitoring inventory levels through regular inventory checks.
  • Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
  • Cleans and maintains floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Wash, Wipe, Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
  • Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef.
  • Always Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company policy and procedures.
  • All government, safety, health, and security standards are complied with through the department at all times.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
