About The Position
Medical Associates Clinic in Dubuque, Iowa, is seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its outpatient dermatology department. The physician-owned, multispecialty clinic has a collaborative team of four physicians and two PAs and works collegially with MercyOne hospital. The role provides medical dermatology care for patients of all ages, including diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of skin conditions and diseases. Care includes in-office and/or telehealth visits in Dubuque and at outreach satellite locations approximately one hour away. Flexibility is required. The position may be considered as either part-time or full-time.
Requirements
- NP or PA certification through an accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of dermatology experience.
- Flexibility to provide care at Dubuque and outreach satellite locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide dermatology care to patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions and diseases, including acne, warts, dry skin, dermatitis, eczema, hyperhidrosis, lesions, precancerous sun damage, and skin cancer.
- Perform surgical treatment or removal of benign and malignant tumors, including moles, cysts, and skin cancers.
- Perform diagnostic skin biopsies to determine disease and course of treatment.
- Provide in-office and/or telehealth visits in Dubuque and outreach satellite locations.
