About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited teaching establishment.
• If not currently certified, obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Keyboarding skills and aptitude for learning a patient database program.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Commitment to supporting UCH’s standard of medical excellence.

Nice To Haves

• 1 to 2 years of related work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and register patients.
• Update patient demographic information.
• Perform patient-care activities to assist physicians.
• Prepare examination rooms for patients.
• Take patient vital signs and record them in the medical chart.
• Maintain patients’ medical charts.
• Receive co-payments for visits.
