About The Position

At Texas Card House, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our guests. We take pride in delivering memorable, positive experiences for every one who walks through our doors. The Poker Cage/Cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions within the poker room, including exchanging cash for chips, processing buy-ins, and assisting with payouts. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, accuracy in cash handling, and excellent customer service skills. The Poker Cage/Cashier will also interact with guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience in a fast-paced gaming environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Strong math skills and ability to perform accurate calculations under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight (cash drawers).
  • The ability to operate computers and point-of-sale systems.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of experience handling cash in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of poker (a plus, but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cash buy-ins and cash-outs for poker chips, following strict cash handling procedures.
  • Process credit card transactions for cage services.
  • Accurately count and verify chip denominations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions.
  • Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
  • Report any suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
