About The Position

Maplewood Toyota is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Receptionist / Service Cashier to support both their front desk and service department. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with payment processing and customer service. As a Receptionist / Service Cashier, you will often be one of the first and last people our customers interact with. You will welcome guests to the dealership, assist with incoming calls, support dealership staff, and help service and parts customers complete their transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to transition smoothly between front-desk responsibilities and cashier duties throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous receptionist or administrative experience
  • Previous cashier or payment-processing experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Automotive dealership experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, visitors, and prospects in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, including transferring calls, providing basic information, and taking messages
  • Direct customers and visitors to the appropriate department or team member
  • Provide general customer service support to dealership departments
  • Assist management and staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Process service and parts transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Accept customer payments by cash, check, and credit card
  • Calculate and provide change when needed
  • Answer basic customer questions regarding service or parts transactions
  • Maintain appropriate cash drawer balances and request additional change when necessary
  • Reconcile cash drawers, sales receipts, deposits, and payment totals
  • Identify and communicate any payment or reconciliation discrepancies
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-desk and cashier area
