About The Position

Operate and drive a crane/boom truck and other equipment in a safe manner. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, moving materials using various equipment, and loading/securing materials. The position requires adherence to all DOT, safety, and applicable regulations, as well as a willingness to learn and teach best practices. Proactiveness, the ability to complete assigned duties, and effective communication are essential. The role also involves working flexible shifts and overtime as needed, being a team player, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current NCCCO certification required.
  • Valid rigging and signaling certification required.
  • Valid CDL required.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, vocational school certificate of completion, experience in roofing construction/installation/operations, or a combination of the above required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating a crane/boom truck.
  • Ability to safely move material greater than 50 lbs. and to work with other employees for team lifts.
  • Ability to safely use a forklift.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrable experience using technology (cell phone, text messaging, and email).
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience safely operating Roll-Off, High Lift, and other equipment highly preferred.
  • Prior forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a SAFE work environment at ALL times.
  • Use a forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment to move material in a safe manner.
  • Load and secure material on crane/boom truck, trailer, or other equipment being used.
  • Abide by all DOT, safety, and other applicable regulations.
  • Willing and able to quickly learn best practices and techniques to operate equipment as necessary.
  • Willing and able to teach others and help them learn how to improve their skills.
  • Be proactive. If a task must be done, do it.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all duties as assigned and meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • Effectively use technology (email, text messages, calendars, etc.) to complete tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Clear, concise communication among your team and all project stakeholders using phone, email, text, or other means as required.
  • Willing and able to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
  • Be an ideal team player and provide the BEST service possible to whomever you are serving and working with.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Operate crane/boom truck and other construction equipment in a safe manner.
  • Accomplish duties and tasks within time frame assigned.
  • Ensure material is properly loaded and unloaded on vehicles, rooftops, and other locations as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and valid license/certifications.
