About The Position

Primoris Energy Services Corp is seeking a skilled Boilermaker (Job ID: 43427) to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other heavy metal structures according to specifications. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training as a Boilermaker.
  • Proven experience as a Boilermaker in an industrial or energy services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of boiler construction, repair, and maintenance techniques.
  • Proficient in various welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) and able to pass welding certifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Experience with rigging, hoisting, and safe operation of lifting equipment.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Excellent understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding work, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Layout, assemble, and install structural metal products, such as plates, shells, tubes, and frames, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Weld, bolt, rivet, and braze components to create strong and leak-proof connections.
  • Perform cutting, grinding, and shaping of metal using plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, and other appropriate tools.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct pressure tests, hydrostatic tests, and other diagnostic checks on boilers and pressure vessels.
  • Repair and maintain existing boiler components, including replacing tubes, patching leaks, and cleaning internal surfaces.
  • Operate heavy machinery and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and hot work permits.
  • Collaborate with other team members, supervisors, and inspectors to ensure project success.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
