About The Position
As an RBT, you will provide individualized ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You’ll work closely with clients to implement treatment plans, track progress, and support the development of essential life, communication, and social skills in a structured and encouraging environment.
Requirements
- Current RBT Certification (required)
- Active CPR Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, & insurance (required)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferred)
- Experience with data collection and familiarity with ABA terminology (preferred)
- A background in special education, psychology, or a related field (beneficial)
- Comfortable working on the floor, lifting 25–40 lbs, and engaging in active play
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision in a school environment
- Complete daily progress notes related to the implementation of the intervention plan
- Use reinforcement strategies to promote learning and independence
- Work with children by creating an environment that champions continued skill acquisition and development of functional communication, peer interactions, and school readiness
- Celebrate victories (both big and small!), help kids and families celebrate milestones, and get more high fives than you’ve ever thought possible
- Patience and the ability to model the calm during a storm
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with family about the child’s progress following each session.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to ABA and special education
