About The Position

This role is responsible for organizing and maintaining the placement of vehicles within a designated zone or move area according to established standards. The Zone Administrator will utilize information from supervisors and Lot Ops dashboards to make daily decisions regarding vehicle staging and movement. A key aspect of this position involves continuous improvement efforts focused on the safety and efficiency of vehicle movement in and out of their assigned zone. The role requires moving vehicles to their proper destinations in a safe and organized manner, ensuring efficient use of resources. The administrator must also identify and report inoperable vehicles, coordinate with service and tow teams, and label vehicles with appropriate sale and routing information to ensure accurate tracking. Effective communication with crew leaders and managers regarding inventory levels and priorities is essential. This position also involves upholding company values, implementing policies, and championing safety commitments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying issues like flat tires, low gas, and jump-starting vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months auction or driving experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.
  • Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move area to the defined standard.
  • Utilize information from the Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to make move decisions to stage their assigned zone area.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts relating to the safety and efficient movement of vehicles.
  • Move vehicles and stage them in a safe arrangement to their proper work destinations.
  • Confirm that all vehicles can operate safely and engage service and tow teams when inoperable vehicles are found.
  • Label vehicles with the sale and routing labels to maintain accurate movements.
  • Communicate with crew leaders and managers regarding the status of inventory levels and priorities.
  • Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
  • Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Be a visible representation of Manheim’s safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to these directives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
