About The Position

This role involves working with customers to locate keys and cars, requiring proficiency in AS400, TC operation, radio usage, and company phone for key requests. Multitasking is a daily requirement. The position includes performing basic data entry, maintaining communication with various departments and personnel for effective coordination of lot operations, answering phones, providing support to lot operations employees, and offering excellent customer support. Responsibilities also include responding to customer requests for assistance, supporting the manager in departmental scheduling and coordination with temporary agencies, processing all lot operations department paperwork, and forwarding invoices. A key part of the role is assisting in the coordination of sale day line-up and execution of sale day activities, including driving and assisting customers. A strong commitment to safety is essential, demonstrated by following all safety and health procedures and actively participating in safety activities. Other duties as assigned by management are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles.)
  • Must be able to walk long distances.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana pre-employment drug test not administered for this position).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of auction or driving experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.
  • Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to help locate their keys and cars.
  • Operate AS400 and a TC.
  • Operate a radio and the company phone for key requests.
  • Perform basic data entry into the AS 400 computer system.
  • Maintain constant communication with commercial accounts department, customer support team, quadrant and account coordinators, supervisors, and other auction personnel.
  • Answer phones and provide support to lot operations employees.
  • Provide excellent customer support.
  • Respond to customer requests for assistance and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support manager in the coordination of departmental scheduling, working with temporary agencies, serving as point of contact and recording employee absences.
  • Process all lot operations department paperwork.
  • Forward all invoices and items to be posted to the appropriate areas in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the coordination of sale day line-up and execution of sale day activities (i.e., drive, assist customers in locating vehicles, etc.).
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
