About The Position

This position prepares furniture for delivery through unboxing, assembly, inspection, and minor product adjustments. The associate may also receive, ship, and store products. The role supports the daily operation of the Z-Dock: timely completion of outbound tasks helps meet customer and delivery commitments, while accurate receipt and stocking supports inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and delivery scheduling. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of experience.
Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.
Nearly continuous standing, balancing, overhead reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Often perform repetitive hand motions, walk, bend, stoop, listen, talk, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, and operate industry equipment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
OSHA Certification.

Responsibilities

Prepare and unbox products to La-Z-Boy specifications and compare products with paperwork to confirm order completeness and accuracy.
Assist with loading and unloading furniture and accessories on and off trucks; operate power equipment on occasion.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including product preparation, reuse or recycling of revenue commodities, and 5S responsibilities.
Scan furniture in the computer system when receiving, moving, or loading it.
Receive returned furniture from delivery trucks and place it in the correct locations.
Package products being returned to vendors properly and attach all corresponding paperwork.
Attend company-required training and participate in committees.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
