About The Position

This position prepares furniture for delivery through unboxing, assembly, inspection, and minor product adjustments. The associate may also receive, ship, and store products. The role supports the daily operation of the Z-Dock, with accurate and timely outbound work helping meet commitments to customers, dealer partners, and delivery providers, and accurate receipt and stocking supporting inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and delivery scheduling.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.
• Nearly continuously stand, balance, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Often perform repetitive hand motions; walk, bend, stoop, listen, talk, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, and operate industry equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and unbox products to La-Z-Boy specifications.
• Review products against paperwork to verify order completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with loading and unloading furniture and accessories onto and off trucks, occasionally operating power equipment.
• Occasionally move items weighing up to 350 pounds using a two-wheel dolly.
• Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Perform product preparation, reuse or recycling of revenue commodities, and 5S responsibilities; attend required company training and participate in committees as assigned.
• Scan furniture in the computer system when receiving, moving, or loading it.
• Receive returned furniture from delivery trucks and place it in the correct locations.
• Properly package products being returned to vendors and attach the corresponding paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
