About The Position
Are you obsessed about making YouTube content? Do you love storytelling, wild ideas, and creating videos that millions of people around the world actually watch? Do you want a job where you’re not stuck behind a desk all day, but instead writing bringing your YouTube storyline ideas to life? Spy Ninjas is looking for a YouTube-obsessed Creative (Editor / Writer / Director) to help create videos people can’t stop watching. The role involves pitching ideas, writing scripts, directing shoots, filming, editing, and staying on top of YouTube trends. The team is a tight, in-house creative team that enjoys working together in a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment. The ideal candidate is a strong YouTube editor who can also write and direct, or already possesses these skills.
Requirements
- Genuinely YouTube obsessed
- Watch YouTube differently than most people, study it
- 3–5 years of experience in video production/editing
- Strong skills in Adobe Premiere
- Ability to take an idea from concept to final video
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Strong creative instincts and problem-solving ability
Nice To Haves
- Photoshop skills
- Experience creating or editing YouTube content
- Understanding of retention, pacing, and audience behavior
- Experience directing or working with talent
- Interest in storytelling, especially ongoing or serialized content
- A portfolio that shows your YouTube work
Responsibilities
- Come up with video ideas that people will actually click on and watch all the way through
- Write scripts that are fast-paced, engaging, and built for retention
- Direct shoots with actors and creators, keeping energy high and content focused
- Film using YouTube-style techniques that keep things dynamic and watchable
- Edit in Adobe Premiere with strong pacing, humor, and storytelling instincts
- Create thumbnails in Photoshop that stand out and drive clicks
- Handle post-production: color, sound, and final delivery
- Collaborate daily with a team that is constantly testing and improving content
- Stay on top of YouTube trends, formats, and what’s working right now
