The Financial Times is looking for a New York-based YouTube channel manager to join our award-winning podcast team. This is an exciting time to join the FT as it looks to expand its video-podcast offering and to reach new audiences with a multi-format approach. This is a fixed-term contract that extends until the end of 2026. You will report into the Global Head of Audio. You will be responsible for the FT’s vodcast channels starting with the FT’s flagship markets chat show Unhedged. Hosted by FT market gurus Katie Martin and Rob Armstrong, Unhedged is a twice-a-weekly, irreverent and punchy take on the latest markets news. Since launching in 2023, Unhedged has grown into one of our most successful podcasts with many of the pre-requisites for an engaging YouTube channel. The video element will launch in July. The YouTube channel manager will work closely with other production teams in the audio unit including on The Story of Money and other chat-based podcasts. This will include executive producers, the video editor, the podcast development manager, the producers. Our team runs on collaboration, honesty and flexibility. The role requires a deep knowledge of YouTube and how to optimise content for rapid growth. You will have a proven track record and experience of managing and optimising successful channels on the platform. You are a data cruncher and will interpret audience behaviour data into actionable insights for a busy production team.
