About The Position

ViaQuest ICFs is hiring a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities in Etna, Ohio, and Reynoldsburg. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The posting identifies part-time second-shift availability.

The role focuses on providing direct care and support while fostering individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment and ensuring their health and safety. Work may also include teaching and assisting individuals in daily life, preparing meals, maintaining a clean and safe living environment, and providing personal care assistance.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria based on Motor Vehicle Record.
• Be able to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
