About The Position

ViaQuest ICFs is hiring a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The position is based in Mansfield and pays $18.25–$19.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor vehicle record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
