About The Position

The Coaching Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our team of instructors across New York City Central. The Coaching Coordinator is responsible for managing instructor performance through regular evaluation and performance conversations. In this role, you will work with the Program Director. You will be responsible for ensuring that all instructors meet the standards of program quality and creating a liberating culture within the team and the organization. We are looking for a motivated individual who understands coaching, has exceptional relational skills, is extremely organized and passionate about our mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 1-3 years of event planning or customer service experience
  • Experience working or supervising part-time employees
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in G-Suite and MS Office
  • Warm, motivated and approachable personality
  • Prior soccer experience is not required. We only require the passion for positively impacting children’s lives and look for individuals that are safety conscious, caring, organized, responsible and energetic.

Responsibilities

  • Support instructor development through evaluations, feedback, and documented coaching conversations under the guidance of leadership
  • Communicate seasonal staffing needs and observations to Executive Director to plan for recruitment
  • Screen, interview and recommend hiring of coaches to Executive Director
  • Develop strong relationships with part-time instructors; identify key individuals that can grow within our organization
  • Create and manage schedules for part-time instructors across different territories
  • Assist in leading the regular instructor meetings to discuss new initiatives, trends, etc.
  • Support and implement initiatives designed by leadership to reinforce core values
  • Work with the Operations team to track and report on established performance indicators
  • Weekly meetings with Executive Director and Operations team to discuss and analyze program quality and needs
  • Coach up to 15-20 sessions per week per season. Where possible, use coaching sessions as training opportunities for instructors.
