Youth Soccer Coach
About The Position
Super Soccer Stars is seeking an energetic and fun-loving Soccer Coach to lead children in fun and educational activities while ensuring their safety. The ideal candidate has prior experience working with children, enjoys working with them, and is interested in early childhood education or child development. New coaches can earn between $18-$25 per hour and will receive on-the-job training. Coaches are expected to use individual attention, a non-competitive approach, and positive reinforcement to ensure children's success and enjoyment. All coaches are encouraged to be open-minded, accept feedback, and continuously improve through regular training and by following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual.
Requirements
- Must be FUN, ENERGETIC, PATIENT, ATTENTIVE, & PUNCTUAL
- Availability must include weekday mornings (9a-12p) weekday afternoon (12p - 3p) &/or early evenings (3p-6p)
- Preferred Saturday and/or Sunday availability
- Coaches are expected to travel up to an hour to get to a class location.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with children PREFERRED
- Soccer playing background PREFERRED
Responsibilities
- Assist/Teach an energetic & motivating class, connect & challenge each child, help them to accomplish motor development & skill goals & inspire a love of movement & healthy habits in an organized, structured & FUN manner.
- Provide individual and group attention to children.
- Show up on time to class, physically and mentally prepared (includes commuting time).
- Mentally be at a level where the child needs you to be and make soccer FUN for them for ALL age groups.
- Assist with the distribution & upkeep of equipment needed.
- Assist the hiring manager with sourcing & screening potential candidates.
- Manage the ordering, printing, & distribution of flyers, posters & signage.
- Recording classes for coach development video feedback.
- Able & willing to travel throughout Passaic County and North East New Jersey to class locations.
