About The Position

Soccer Shots is hiring part-time Youth Soccer Coaches in the Louisville area to lead engaging, 35–40 minute soccer sessions for children ages 2–8 at schools, childcare centers, and parks. Coaches use the Soccer Shots curriculum to teach basic soccer skills while helping children build confidence, character, teamwork, and a positive attitude toward being active. Programs run year-round across spring, summer, fall, and winter. The role includes paid training in the curriculum and coaching techniques; no prior soccer or coaching experience is required. Coaches must be available on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., though availability for every weekday is not required, and commit to coaching for at least two seasons (16 weeks). Coaches must currently live in the Louisville area and be able to travel to Middletown and surrounding areas. Compensation is $17–$22 per 35–40 minute session, with possible performance bonuses, gift cards, and seasonal pay increases.

Requirements

Currently reside in the Louisville area.
Have weekday availability from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; availability for all weekdays is not required.
Commit to coaching a minimum of two seasons (16 weeks).
Be able to travel to Middletown and surrounding areas.
Be energetic, reliable, organized, professional, and dependable.
Be comfortable working with young children.
Be comfortable standing, jogging, and staying active.
Have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable car.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead 35–40 minute soccer sessions for children ages 2–8 using the Soccer Shots curriculum.
Make soccer fun and engaging for children.
Teach basic soccer skills through activities.
Help children build confidence, character, and teamwork, and create positive experiences for each child.
Communicate with families and teachers.
Set up and pack away equipment.
Arrive on time and follow safety and attendance procedures.
Model children's soccer skills and remain active during sessions.
