Youth Soccer Coach Part Time
About The Position
Soccer Shots Chicago NW Suburbs is hiring a part-time coach to lead fun, safe soccer classes for children ages 2–8 in Schaumburg and nearby areas. The role focuses on engaging and encouraging young children rather than requiring professional soccer experience. Coaches use a weekly curriculum covering fundamental soccer skills, motor development, and character building, and help create a positive environment where every child feels supported. The position requires availability at least two weekdays per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Weekend availability is not required. Applicants must live in Schaumburg, Palatine, Streamwood, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, or Arlington Heights. No prior soccer coaching experience is required; paid training and a structured curriculum are provided.
Requirements
- Live in Schaumburg, Palatine, Streamwood, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, or Arlington Heights.
- Be available at least two weekdays per week, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- Love working with children ages 2–8.
- Be energetic, playful, patient, and encouraging.
- Be comfortable being animated, expressive, and a little silly during activities.
- Be responsible, reliable, and safety-focused.
- Enjoy helping children build confidence and develop new skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in childcare, education, recreation, sports, or performance is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, safe, soccer-based classes for children ages 2–8.
- Run engaging 30–45-minute sessions for groups of up to 12 children.
- Follow the weekly curriculum focused on fundamental soccer skills, motor development, and character building.
- Encourage every child and create a positive learning environment.
- Arrive 15 minutes before each session to set up equipment and prepare.
- Manage class rosters and program equipment.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Provide brief feedback after sessions.
