About The Position

ACTIVSTARS is hiring enthusiastic and experienced Youth Soccer Coaches for its East Valley youth soccer programs. This part-time role teaches soccer fundamentals to children ages 5–15 in a fun and supportive environment. Coaches work Saturdays, with teaching times varying by location, and must be available between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Training begins upon hire and continues through the remainder of the summer session; the fall program runs September through December, and the spring program runs from mid-January through early May. Paid training includes teaching guidelines, record procedures, and shadowing a veteran coach. Coaches are also paid for seasonal tournament weekend work and required short training or meeting sessions.

Requirements

• Strong soccer knowledge and experience.
• Enjoy coaching and working with children ages 5–15.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available every Saturday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; actual teaching times vary by location.
• Attend required short training and meeting sessions each season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classes.
• Teach soccer fundamentals and coach instruction for different age groups.
• Take attendance and check participants in.
• Maintain basic records.
• Promote upcoming program events.
• Work the seasonal soccer tournament weekend, including Saturday and Sunday.
