About The Position

Soccer Stars of NE Denver is hiring Lead Coaches for our afterschool soccer program this fall. We run at elementary schools in Green Valley Ranch, Commerce City, and Brighton. The schedule requires availability for weekday afternoons, with Wednesdays starting at 2:30 PM and all other days starting at 3:15 PM. Coaches are needed 3-4 afternoons per week, for 2 paid hours per day, totaling 6-8 hours per week. The season runs from September 14 through mid-November. Coaches are expected to commit to the full season, as schools and families rely on the same coach weekly. The schedule is guaranteed for the full season with no week-to-week changes. Exact days will be confirmed before the season starts, and applicants should be open to weekday afternoons.

Requirements

• A real soccer background (played competitively at high school, club, or college level, or coached the game)
• Coaching experience with kids (youth soccer, camps, clinics, or other sports with elementary-age players)
• Free weekday afternoons, roughly 2:15 PM to 5:30 PM
• Reliable transportation to schools in Green Valley Ranch (80249), Commerce City (80022), and Brighton (80601)
• Willingness to coach outdoors in cold weather
• Comfortable being the adult in charge of a large group of young kids outdoors
• Able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Run afterschool soccer sessions for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade
• Follow the provided curriculum and session plans
• Set up and pack down equipment
• Keep the group organized, safe, and having a good time
• Handle pickup and drop-off, including checking kids out to the right adult
• Run the family game day in the final week
• Demonstrate skills, organize drills, and keep the game moving
• Supervise children, manage bathroom breaks, and handle minor injuries
• Check every child out to an authorized adult at the end of sessions
