About The Position

As a Youth Service Worker at Tanager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children and families. This role is focused on providing direct care services within our Inpatient Team, ensuring the safety, supervision, and well-being of youth. You will be responsible for planning and leading activities that promote growth, trust, and resilience, while building therapeutic relationships based on respect, empathy, and consistency. Tanager has been dedicated to supporting children and families in Linn County since 1879, evolving its mission to meet community needs through prevention, treatment, and outreach programs. The agency serves over 4,000 children and teens annually and is described as a community of caregivers working together to Inspire, Empower, and Heal.

Requirements

Must be 20 years old.
One year of previous direct experience working with children, youth, or families in a professional setting.
OR Associate’s degree (AA) in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, criminal justice, or a related human services field.
OR Completion of two years of college courses toward a BA in a related field.
