About The Position

The Street Hockey Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, marketing, communicating (both internally and externally), and fully implementing all street hockey camps, clinics, programs and events. This role involves overseeing various youth programs, including Hockey 101, Street Hockey Clinics, Leagues, Tournaments, Parties, Pop-Up Marketing Ventures, and Industry Growth Fund (IGF) initiatives. The coordinator will also manage part-time staff, build relationships with parks and recreation departments, ensure compliance with IGF and sponsor requirements, and order necessary promotional items and equipment. Additionally, the position requires ensuring sufficient staffing for events and participating as an instructor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ youth hockey, street and rink operation experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Employees must have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as occasional ability to travel to meet potential clients and attend industry conferences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships with a varied group of individuals.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage several projects at once, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling, marketing, communicating (both internally and externally), and fully implementing all Youth Programs Department Camps, Clinics, Programs and Events including, but not limited to: Hockey 101 programs, Street Hockey Clinics, Street Hockey Leagues, Street Hockey Tournaments (3v3), Hockey Parties, Pop-Up Marketing Ventures, Industry Growth Fund (IGF) initiatives and programs.
  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of part-time staff while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Building positive relationships with parks and recreation departments and their community leaders.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all IGF requirements and standards, as well as any and all sponsor requirements and standards.
  • Ordering sufficient quantities and correct sizes of jerseys, t-shirts, hats, other promotional items/equipment, as approved by your director and as necessary in order to implement each of the above programs.
  • Ensuring sufficient staffing for all Youth Programs events including participating in such events as an instructor.
  • Performing other duties, projects, and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Amateur Hockey Director and Manager, Street Hockey Programs.
