About The Position

Seeking a BA level clinician to join a seasoned team at Taunton High School to support, mentor, and provide prevention services for students and families. This role involves coordinating closely with school and other providers to help improve mental health and quality of life. The position is full-time, with typical hours during school days, but requires after-hours and weekend event participation at least quarterly, during school vacations, and summers. Summer months are spent in office settings.

Requirements

BA/BS in psychology, social work, child development, education or related field required.
Must always present as courteous and professional.
Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position.
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion.
Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner.
An understanding of the relationship between substance uses and mental health issues and/or self-help programs.
Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
Reinforce rules in a respectful manner.
Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations.
TB/Flu and Covid19 Assessment.
Annual Completion of the HPAO crisis de-escalation program.
CPR Certification.
Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required.
Completion of all CBHI New Hire Trainings upon hire.
Possesses an understanding of trauma informed care and cultural competence and attends all additional trainings as required/assigned.
Experience in human services field.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

Community Health Worker certification preferred but not mandatory.
One year working/interning with youth preferred.
1+ years of experience working with youth.

Responsibilities

Support, mentor, and provide prevention services for students and families.
Coordinate closely with school and other providers to improve mental health and quality of life.
Transport and engage with youth in community settings.
Run psychoeducational and social support groups as needed.
Network and develop professional working relationships with external area providers.
Ongoing regular communication and collaboration with other internal and external providers.
Completion of all required documentation at the start of services and updates as required by performance specifications.
Accurately document time spent with clients, guardians, and collaterals including interventions utilized and responses to these interventions.
Ongoing monitoring and compliance with required documentation for services.
Tracking service authorizations dates/units and providing updated information for continued stay reviews, as necessary for the service provided.
Comply with all necessary medical necessity criteria and performance specifications, dependent on service provided.
Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Program Director.
