Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
Registered or licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Maintenance of licensure is a condition of employment.
Familiarity with state and county regulations.
Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
Strong documentation, case conceptualization, and time management skills.
Ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Effective boundary-setting and professional behavior modeling.
Demonstrated commitment and adherence to Villages of California Mission, Vision, and Values.
Proficiency in MS Office systems.
Ability to utilize an electronic medical records.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment.
Ability to establish and consistently enforce appropriate boundaries with patients.
Ability to model positive behavior and demeanor.
Understanding of youth/adult/adolescent development and family systems.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to be flexible; problem solver, self-directed; customer service-oriented, and collaborative.
Skills and ability to engage and develop a rapport with patients and families of various backgrounds.
Requires flexibility to work in schools, homes, and community environments.
Must be able to travel locally; reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a safe driving record are required.

Experience working with diverse populations.
Certification/training in EBPs such as MAP, TF-CBT, Seeking Safety is preferred.
Spanish bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

Providing therapeutic services including individual, family, parent-focused, and group therapy to youth and families in school, home, and community settings.
Facilitating family engagement and parent coaching sessions to support caregivers in strengthening relationships, improving communication, and enhancing parenting skills.
Partnering with families to develop collaborative treatment goals that reflect family dynamics and cultural values.
Providing clinical feedback and coordinating care with school personnel, community agencies, and other service providers.
Conducting crisis intervention, threat assessments and immediate response services as needed across settings.
Provide ongoing crisis support on school campuses or within the community as instructed by site administration and/or their supervisor. This includes responding to urgent needs in a timely, professional, and trauma-informed manner.
Delivering case management and linking clients and families to appropriate community services and resources.
Meeting productivity requirements and managing a caseload aligned with agency expectations.
Completing documentation such as progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans on time and per policy.
Formulating psychosocial diagnoses by assessing history, presenting issues, and symptoms.
Utilizing Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) including MAP, TF-CBT, Seeking Safety, and parent-focused modalities.
Monitoring client and family progress and adjusting treatment through formal outcome measures.
Engaging in clinical supervision, integrating feedback into clinical practice, and actively contributing to team discussions.
Developing professional knowledge through continuing education, workshops, and best practices.
Maintaining confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Promoting agency values and mission in all client and community interactions.
Participating in team and all-staff meetings and maintaining accountability in attendance and engagement.
Demonstrating professionalism with clients, peers, and external partners.
Representing the agency in a positive manner within school systems, community organizations, and external meetings. This includes representing the agency’s values and standards in collaborative environments with school staff, business partners, and community stakeholders.
Incorporating trauma-informed and culturally responsive care in all services delivered.
Participate in organized school events, workshops, and activities as directed by their supervisor. This includes supporting initiatives that promote collaboration with school staff and student engagement.
Participate in agency events, including those scheduled on weekends, as directed by their supervisor. Attendance is considered part of the employee’s professional responsibilities.
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
