With programs across Southeastern Massachusetts, High Point offers a comprehensive continuum of care, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Requirements

Master's degree in clinical psychology, education counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work, or a closely related field
Eligible for independent licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or LADC1
1+ years of experience working with youth populations
Always present as courteous and professional
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
Maintain and submit any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in a logical and clear fashion
Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs, including the ability to learn, use, and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner
Understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries
Reinforce rules in a respectful manner
Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations
TB/Flu and Covid19 Assessment
Annual Completion of the HPAO crisis de-escalation program
CPR Certification
Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one year of supervised substance use and/or mental health disorder counseling experience preferred

Responsibilities

Crisis intervention
Maintain assigned caseload, providing direct care including assessments, individual counseling, discharge and aftercare planning, treatment plans and updates, weekly progress notes, daily group facilitation, group note completion, and bio-psychosocial assessments
Make referrals when appropriate
Responsible for each assigned patient's medical records, ensuring they are professional, complete, thorough, and entered in a timely manner
Connect patients/residents with aftercare services prior to discharge and assist them and their families in accessing services
Communicate and involve family in treatment at the patient's request
Attend and participate in all unit, facility meetings, case conferences, Treatment Team meetings, and mandatory trainings as directed by the Clinical Supervisor/Director
Responsible for continued education in the field of substance use, mental health, and related courses
Utilize standard precautions
Demonstrate behaviors that recognize patient rights
Complete all CBHI New Hire Trainings upon hire (In Home Therapists)
Maintain CANS Certification at hire and as recertification is required
Possess an understanding of trauma-informed care and cultural competence, and attend all additional trainings as required/assigned
Run psychoeducational and social support groups as needed
Utilize knowledge of area resources to meet treatment plan goals for youth
Network and develop professional working relationships with external area providers
Place referrals for additional services for youth and families throughout treatment and prior to discharge, as necessary
Maintain ongoing regular communication and collaboration with other internal and external providers
Complete all required documentation at the start of services and updates as required by performance specifications
Monitor and ensure compliance with required documentation for services
Accurately document time spent with clients, guardians, and collaterals, including interventions utilized and responses
Provide clinical services, both in-person and through telehealth
Track service authorization dates/units and provide updated information for continued stay reviews, as necessary
Attend all required staff and client meetings, or additional meetings assigned by supervisor
Attend weekly clinical supervision, tracking all direct client contact and supervision hours toward licensure
Comply with all necessary medical necessity criteria and performance specifications
Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Program Director
