About The Position

This is a seasonal, part-time, and non-benefitted position. The instructor must be able to work two or more sessions to qualify. The available working hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm during the following sessions: Session 1: June 1 - 12, Session 2: June 15 - 26, Session 3: July 6 - 17, Session 4: July 20 - 31.

Requirements

• Must be 14 years of age.
• 1-3 years sport experience or instruction, and able to demonstrate intermediate skill level or higher.
• Approved criminal background investigation check if over 18 years of age.
• Must be proficient in either tennis or pickleball or both!

Responsibilities

• Ability to demonstrate correct stroke techniques, scoring, court rules, and court etiquette.
• Is on time and prepared for lessons.
• Prepares records and lesson progress reports.
• Follows all safety protocols outlined by the recreation center.
• Assists and supports students and parents in a positive and professional manner.
• Participate in seminars and classes to improve teaching skills and techniques.
• Attend meetings as required.
