About The Position

The TVC Youth Pastor will provide overall leadership, vision, and direction for TVC YTH, cultivating a ministry culture that helps students encounter God’s love, experience transformation in Jesus, and learn to extend the miraculous. This role involves leading the planning, execution, and evaluation of Junior High weekend services and Sunday night YTH gatherings, ensuring every environment is welcoming, safe, engaging, and Spirit-led. The Youth Pastor will develop and oversee the spiritual formation strategy for students, creating pathways for salvation, discipleship, leadership development, and ministry involvement. They will serve as the primary shepherd and spiritual leader for students, volunteer leaders, and families connected to TVC YTH. Additionally, in collaboration with the Ministry Department Lead, they will establish, track, and regularly evaluate ministry metrics to assess engagement, growth, and ministry effectiveness. This role also oversees ministry calendars, budgets, volunteer schedules, and communication systems, and leads the planning and execution of youth events, retreats, camps, conferences, and ministry experiences that support the overall discipleship strategy of TVC YTH. The Youth Pastor will also serve as the primary communicator for TVC YTH, while recruiting, equipping, and developing additional communicators and teachers. They will oversee the development of youth ministry curriculum, teaching series, discipleship resources, and small-group content that align with TVC’s vision, values, and theology, and create opportunities for students to encounter God through worship, prayer, Scripture, ministry times, and Spirit-led experiences. This role includes recruiting, training, developing, and pastoring volunteer leaders (Crew Leaders, Communicators/Teaching Team, Café Team, Welcome Team), providing coaching, encouragement, accountability, and ongoing development opportunities. They will lead regular leadership gatherings and identify, mentor, and develop student leaders. The Youth Pastor will also build strong relationships with students and families, serve as a trusted pastoral presence, develop systems for new members to connect, and maintain consistent communication with parents. Pastoral care responsibilities include officiating weddings and funerals, providing care through meetings, visits, and being available during times of need, engaging with people during weekend services, participating in church events, and helping teach classes. The Youth Pastor will serve as part of the pastoral team and faithfully carry the responsibilities of an elder within the life of the church.
