About The Position

This two-year, part-time internship supports Muncie Alliance Church’s student ministry while providing the intern with a safe, nurturing environment to learn and practice ministry and discern a call to ministry. The intern contributes their skills, knowledge, interests, and passions to enhance the ministry. The position requires 10–12 hours per week and pays $20 per hour. The schedule includes planning and parent communication, Sunday evening ministry, occasional Sunday morning Jr. High Sunday School teaching, and ministry with local middle and high school students. Licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance may be required.

Requirements

Possess a sense of call to ministry and desire a place to follow and process that calling.
Be willing to develop mentoring relationships with a variety of youth.
Be able to help lead discussions and group activities as part of a team of adult ministry partners.
Pass a background check.
Adhere to church conduct and safety policy.
Submit an application that includes a testimony, resume, and other background information related to the position.

Responsibilities

Support and enhance Muncie Alliance Church’s student ministry using the intern’s skills, knowledge, interests, and passions.
Develop mentoring relationships with a variety of youth.
Help lead discussions and group activities as part of a team of adult ministry partners.
Plan for Sunday evenings and communicate with parents (1–2 hours per week).
Participate in Sunday evening ministry from 5:15 to 8:15 p.m. (3 hours per week).
Occasionally serve on the teaching rotation for the Sunday morning Jr. High Sunday School class (approximately one hour per month).
Engage in incarnational ministry with local high school and middle school students (5 hours per week).
