About The Position

Rockland Chinese Alliance Church of C&MA (RCAC), a Chinese- and English-speaking church with two congregations and about 100 attendees combined, is seeking a full-time Youth/English Pastor to lead its youth and English-speaking adult ministries. The pastor works closely with the Youth/English Ministry Committee, cooperates with other church staff, and reports to the Senior Pastor. Church members, parents, and the committee assist with implementing ministry programs. The purpose of the role is to disciple youth and English-speaking adults through a holistic approach to ministry focused on discipleship, living out the Gospel, mission, and outreach, while serving as a spiritual leader and role model. The position may require licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Responsibilities

Follow the Great Commission to spread the Gospel.
Develop and implement discipleship and leadership training strategies for youth and English-speaking adults.
Shepherd the congregations and serve as a family role model.
Preach God’s word faithfully and teach congregants to apply biblical principles in daily life.
Provide pastoral care through regular visitation, fellowship, and pastoral counseling.
Organize monthly Youth/English Ministry Committee meetings.
Maintain proper office hours with the pastoral team.
Lead planning for the Youth/English Ministry budget.
Lead the English congregation in Angel’s Heart Ministry activities and other church-wide events.
Lead youth and young adults in supporting Vacation Bible School (VBS), together with the Children Ministry Committee.
Lead the youth and English portions of the church summer retreat.
Organize community services, such as Make Rockland Beautiful.
Organize fundraising for English congregation mission trips.
Share other pastoral responsibilities.
Develop curriculum, teach, and lead the Friday-night Youth Bible Study program.
Implement Sunday School classes by teaching curriculum and training youth counselors.
Organize youth worship services and train the youth worship team to lead worship in combined services and special meetings.
Organize youth participation in spiritual gatherings, including Alliance Youth retreat at Lake Champion, Next Ministry conferences, and Life Conference.
Establish an English family Sunday worship service.
Organize and lead the English congregation’s weekly prayer meeting.
Establish a weekly adult English Bible study group.
Nurture and care for RCAC college students and young adults.
